One of the main advantages from contracting with Association Managers Inc. is access to the leading association management software – iMIS.

After more than a year of research, AMI has converted its association management software to iMIS, used by more than 1450 associations. The biggest advantage of iMIS is that no custom programming is needed to iMIS, yet it accommodates the unique needs of any association. In a recent survey, "nearly 90% of iMIS users were so delighted with their productivity gains and results, they would recommend iMIS." Another survey by an independent consultant rated iMIS the number one software out of 25 association software systems.

The AMI iMIS system is the Millennium version and the data maintained in the system can be accessed by Access. Unlike some companies, each AMI clients’ database is completely separate, there is not one database separated by a single field. This ensures the integrity of our clients data. The AMI system includes membership, committee and the meeting management modules, dues billing, subscription fulfillment, postal bar coding and accounts receivable modules. AMI uses Seagate Crystal Reports to produce a variety of summary and list reports for our other clients. Samples of some of the reports produced are on the sample report page.

iMIS provides exports to other software, including Word and spreadsheet files, maintains history on membership activities, keeps a log of changes to members records. AMI creates custom screens/tables to meet clients’ special needs. iMIS will accommodate the need to keep track of membership by almost unlimited categories as well as any special fees paid.

The system includes quarterly updates of zip codes and addresses to reduce the costs of mail returned for bad addresses. AMI has purchased an annual maintenance contract to ensure we get all upgrades to the system

One of the features that AMI uses for clients is the direct Email capability. Individual records, or groups of records, can be sent emails from iMIS to update members on events and other activities.

AMI has a secure web server for processing credit card payment via the internet. ALL AMI clients website are interactive so that people can join the organization over the internet. AMI has also created a website that allow for hotel registration and other meeting/event registration over the intenet.

Users of the iMIS system include the 16,000 member Canadian Dental Association, the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the Security Industry Association, the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts and the National Association of Life Underwriters. iMIS is also used by some of the country’s largest Association Management Companies.

· AMI has developed a membership billing form that allows a short message/letter to be sent every time a member is billed. The billing form is used to update the database and in some cases conduct short membership surveys.

· AMI clients can take advantage of our discount first-class postage ($.305) since membership renewals/invoices will be mailed on the 15^th of the month with other AMI clients.

AMI clients receive the following services:

1. New member welcome letters are mailed weekly.
2. Members are billed three times, based on their anniversary dates.
3. Deposits are made weekly and include a list of all payments, by check number, amount, individual, etc. The deposit report will identify renewals and new members.
4. Monthly reports will be provided electronically and will be provided in a variety of formats to meet the needs of the Board, committee chairs, etc.
